View all Global productsThis 3-piece knife set G-2111 from Global contains a chef's knife, a utility knife, and a filleting knife. A chef's knife and utility knife are indispensable in your kitchen, and with the filleting knife, you can work on filleting meat and fish. This knife set provides the perfect basis for almost all your cutting tasks at home.
G-2 Chef's Knife (20cm)
The chef's knife is perhaps the most important knife in the kitchen. With a chef's knife, you can quickly cut large quantities of food. Professional chefs often have a longer knife, for example, 26cm or larger. Home chefs often opt for a smaller knife of 20cm to 24cm.
GS-1 Utility Knife (11cm)
A utility knife is essentially a small chef's knife. It is used for cutting smaller ingredients.
GS-11 Filleting Knife (15cm)
Filleting knives come in various lengths and designs. They are often flexible so that the blade can maintain contact with the bone to cut the skin off fresh fish.
The advantages of Global knives
Global knives are made of patented and rock-hard Cromova 18 steel. No other knife brand is allowed to use this steel. The handle is the most striking part of Global knives. The small dimples provide more than average grip when cutting, even if you have wet hands. Additionally, the handle is hollow and filled with sand, making the knife fit perfectly in your hand. The sand is very carefully measured so that your knife is perfectly balanced in your hand.
The fine grain structure of this unique steel ensures that the knives can be sharpened to a very keen edge. Cromova 18 steel has a hardness of 58 HRC. The hardness is therefore slightly less than many other Japanese knives, with the great advantage that you can easily resharpen your knives yourself. Global knives have a convex grind. This means that the edge of the blade is not ground into a V-shape, but into a U-shape, which makes the edge much stronger. You can also resharpen these convex ground knives yourself. Use a sharpening stone for this!
We advise against putting your Global knives in the dishwasher. In the dishwasher, your knife can come into contact with other (flying) kitchen utensils. You don't want scratches or dents on your blade, do you? Fortunately, a Global knife is easy to clean by hand. The handle and the blade merge seamlessly, so no dirt can get stuck anywhere.
