View all Skottsberg productsThe SKOTTSBERG® Cast Iron pan collection is valued for a number of special features. The pans are pre-seasoned, meaning the pan has been seasoned with vegetable oil and is ready for use immediately after purchase.
These pans are made from a single piece of cast lightweight, wear-resistant cast iron. The pans heat up quickly, so it's very important to let them warm up gradually to prevent the pan's base from warping. The handle of the pans is hollow, so it doesn't get hot and is easy to grip. The 'Cast Iron' pans are not only strong and robust, they are also suitable for any heat source. Cooking on induction, open fire, and in the oven (max. 250℃) is no problem for these pans.
The pans can withstand high temperatures and are therefore very suitable for frying fish, meat, potatoes, pancakes or wraps, and preparing delicious paella or grilled sandwiches. These cast iron pans heat up quickly and ensure optimal nutrient retention. Serve the tastiest and healthiest dishes daily!
Skottsberg seasoning oil is a natural oil for seasoning cast iron and sheet steel pans (without a synthetic or enamel non-stick coating). By seasoning the pans with this oil, you create a natural non-stick layer in your pan. This so-called patina layer develops naturally during frequent cooking in your pan, and by seasoning the pan yourself beforehand, you accelerate this process. It also protects the pan from rust. If the patina layer is damaged, you can easily restore it yourself by re-seasoning the pan.
Inspired by the pioneering spirit of the Swedish explorer Carl Johan Fredrik Skottsberg, the SKOTTSBERG® Cast Iron collection is robust enough to take on the road and use over an open fire. This cast iron can withstand extremely high temperatures and retains heat very well, making SKOTTSBERG® pans ideal for essential daily dishes such as frying or grilling steaks or preparing delicious stews.
