The SKOTTSBERG Seasoning Oil is a natural oil for seasoning cast iron and carbon steel pans (without a synthetic or enamel non-stick coating). By seasoning your pans with this oil, you create a natural non-stick layer in your pan. This so-called patina layer develops naturally during frequent use of your pan, and by pre-seasoning the pan yourself, you accelerate this process. It also protects the pan from rust. If the patina layer has been damaged, you can easily restore it yourself by re-seasoning the pan.
This seasoning oil is made from 100% grapeseed oil.
