• How long does the YETI Roadie® 15 stay cold?

  That depends on how you use it. Pre-cool the cooler, fill it at least two-thirds with ice, and open it as little as possible. If you do that, it will easily stay cold for more than 24 hours, even if it's warm outside. The PermaFrost™ insulation (pressure-injected polyurethane) does its job, but it's not magic: if you open it every five minutes, the ice will simply melt faster.
  

• How many cans fit in the YETI Roadie® 15?

  It can hold 22 cans of 300 ml, but without ice. If you really want to keep the contents cold, you fill it with ice and it holds a bit less. For a day out, that's more than enough.
  

• Do wine bottles fit in the YETI Roadie® 15?

  Yes, but on its side. The internal height is 26.9 cm and a standard 750ml wine bottle is slightly too long to stand upright. It fits perfectly on its side. If you want to carry bottles upright, consider the Roadie® 24, which is tall enough for that.

• Does the YETI Roadie® 15 also keep hot things hot?

  Yes. The same insulation that keeps the cold in also keeps the heat in. Whether you're taking soup, coffee, or a hot meal with you, the Roadie® 15 works both ways.

• Can I easily carry this cooler by myself?

  Certainly. The box itself weighs 4 kilos and has sturdy LipGrip™ handles that stay nicely out of the way but provide a good grip. Thanks to the DoubleDuty™ shoulder strap, you can also carry it hands-free, which is handy if you're carrying something else at the same time. Fully packed, it will of course be heavier, but with the strap, you'll have it perfectly under control.

• Is the YETI Roadie® 15 leakproof?

  No. If it’s on its side or upside down, liquid will leak out. Please keep that in mind if you put it in the car or take it on a boat. If you want a truly leak-proof option, the YETI Hopper® Soft Coolers are a better choice.

• Is there a drain plug?

  Yes, the BestDam™ Drain Plug comes standard. This allows you to drain meltwater easily without tipping or spilling. Then you simply close it again. Dry ice is also no problem: the seal allows carbon dioxide gas to escape, so you can use it for that. Just be sure to read YETI’s instructions for proper use.
  
  

• How do I clean the YETI Roadie® 15?

  Warm water with a little dish soap will do the trick for regular cleaning. If you want to give it a really thorough clean, use a solution of 1 part bleach to 6 parts warm water with a sponge or a lightly abrasive cloth. Rinse thoroughly, leave the lid open, and let it dry. Done.

• Is the YETI Roadie® 15 suitable for the beach, fishing, and camping?

  Great for all three. It fits in a kayak, on a paddleboard or ATV, and is light enough to carry to the beach or fishing pier. One thing: don't stand on it. It can handle most people's weight, but its slender build makes it easy to tip over if you sit or stand on it.

• How tough and durable is the YETI Roadie® 15?

  Simply very sturdy. The rotomolded construction withstands impacts, drops, and heavy use. The NeverFail™ hinge system with two interlocking pins prevents the lid from breaking or detaching. YETI offers a five-year warranty on it, which already indicates their own confidence in the product.

• Can I tie down the YETI Roadie® 15 to a boat or trailer?

  Yes, the AnchorPoint™ tie-down slots are specifically designed for this. Combine that with the BearFoot™ non-slip feet and the box will stay in place even on moving terrain.

• Is the YETI Roadie® 15 suitable for day trips or also for longer outings?

  It's primarily designed for day trips and half-day trips, such as a day at the beach, a boat outing, or a long car ride. It's also perfectly suitable for an overnight camping trip, as long as you pre-chill it thoroughly and bring enough ice. If you plan to be out for multiple days regularly, the Roadie® 24 or a larger Tundra® offers more space and longer cooling times.

• How do you open the YETI Roadie® 15 with one hand?

  The QuickLatch™ system makes this easy. The latch is strong enough to keep the lid closed, but releases smoothly with one hand. Handy when your other hand is already occupied.

• Is the YETI Roadie® 15 resistant to high outdoor temperatures?

  Yes. The PermaFrost™ Insulation and Interlock Lid System are designed to keep the temperature inside, even in extreme external heat. Whether you're on the beach on a scorching hot day or on a boat in the blazing sun, the Roadie® 15 will continue to perform.
