Tomasu soy sauce is perhaps the most unique and intense soy sauce you can find in the Netherlands. The soybeans and wheat are grown in the Hoeksche Waard region and these ingredients are then processed in Rotterdam with spring water and coarse sea salt from Brittany, France. From farm to bottle, Tomasu's production is entirely in-house, making it the only micro-brewed soy sauce in Europe to date!
Fermentation and flavours
Fermentation is started by the addition of Tomasu's own mould, Aspergillus Oryzae Tomasu. The only and most important ingredient added after that is time.
Soy Sauce
Tomasu's original soy sauce has a delicious salty taste. For this, natural coarse sea salt from Brittany, France is used.
Sweet Soy Sauce
For this delicious soy sauce with a sweet touch, sugar extracted from Dutch sugar beets is used. The balance between sweet and salty is very flavourful and subtle.
Sweet & Spicy Soy Sauce
This is a delicious sweet and spicy soy sauce, flavoured with sugar from Dutch sugar beets, sesame seeds and Madame Jeanette peppers.
