Both boards are made from North American maple wood (Acer Saccharum), a strong and durable type of wood with a Janka hardness of 1450. This means you choose sturdy boards that will stay beautiful for a long time and are also kind to your knives. Ideal for anyone who likes to work efficiently and organized in the kitchen.
For large and small cutting tasks
With two different sizes, you always have the right board at hand. You can use the large board as a spacious work surface for extensive preparations, such as cutting vegetables, meat, or a complete mise-en-place. The medium board is perfect for smaller tasks, such as finely chopping an onion, halving an avocado, or cutting bread. This way, you keep your large board free for the main task and work much more practically.
Maple as a favorite
Maple has long been considered one of the best wood types for cutting boards. This is due to its dense, closed grain, which means the wood hardly absorbs odors from ingredients such as garlic or fish. Maple is also popular for its light, fresh appearance. The subtle grain and soft cream color fit into almost any kitchen and, with proper maintenance, remain beautiful for a long time. This makes maple a versatile choice for daily use.
Double-sided use
Both boards can be used on two sides. The side with a juice groove is ideal for juicy ingredients, as moisture is neatly collected. The flat side is handy for precision work, bread, or herbs. This way, you get maximum usability from each board and have a suitable cutting surface for every preparation.
Durably finished
The wood is 100% FSC-certified and comes from responsibly managed North American forests. Both boards are finished with mineral oil, making them food-safe and ready for immediate use. By re-oiling them every four to six weeks, letting the oil soak in overnight, and wiping off excess oil with a dry cloth, the boards will remain stable, scratch-resistant, and beautiful in color.
