The SOPHIOR 42 × 30 cm cherry wood cutting board is made from North American cherry wood (Prunus Serotina). This type of wood is known for its warm appearance and unique characteristic: its color only improves with time. While the board initially has a light reddish-brown hue, daily use creates a deeper and richer patina. This way, each board develops its own character.
Kind to your knives
Cherry wood is slightly softer than, for example, maple, and you'll notice that when cutting. The wood gives slightly, meaning your knives will stay sharp longer. Whether you're cutting an onion, chopping herbs, or dicing chicken breast: this board cuts smoothly and is comfortable for daily use.
Also great as a serving board
This board is not only practical for cooking but also looks beautiful on the table. Thanks to its warm color and fine wood grain, you can just as easily use it as a serving board.
