A small, versatile knife with a slender, powerful blade and an extremely sharp plain edge (the technical term for the cutting part of the blade). This Paring Knife is ideal for precisely cutting smaller ingredients such as onions and herbs. It is also the perfect tool for peeling, slicing, and carving fruits and vegetables. With its pointed blade, it is also used for larding meat.
Wusthof Performer
The blade of the Performer knives is crafted from high-quality stainless steel from Germany, with an impressive hardness of 58 Rockwell. Additionally, this knife features a special coating normally used in the aerospace industry. This coating has an extraordinary hardness of 104 Rockwell and offers excellent protection against scratches, acids, and even open flames.
An additional benefit of this coating is that nothing sticks to the blade. Liquids drip off immediately, starch does not adhere, and acids have no harmful effect on the steel.
The Hexagon Power Grip handle stands out due to its unique texture. The handle features small hexagonal shapes arranged in a honeycomb pattern, resulting in excellent grip, even when your hands are wet or greasy. Furthermore, the polyamide handle is reinforced with fiberglass, making it almost indestructible.
