Coravin Pure™ Argon Capsules are at the heart of the Coravin Timeless and Pivot™ wine preservation systems. Filled with 100% pure Argon gas, these capsules pressurize the bottle, allowing you to pour wine without removing the cork – while keeping the remaining wine perfectly preserved.
How does it work?
1. Unscrew the capsule cup: Slide the SmartClamps™ up and unscrew the capsule cup.
2. Insert the capsule: Place a Coravin Pure™ Capsule into the cup and screw it on firmly. Make sure there is no gap between the cup and the system.
3. Ready to pour: Slide the SmartClamps™ down and enjoy your wine – exactly as the maker intended.
Pure gas, pure taste
Each capsule contains ultra-pure Argon gas, an inert and non-reactive gas that does not affect the taste, aroma or texture of the wine. The gas replaces the oxygen in the bottle and prevents oxidation, so every pour tastes as if the bottle has just been opened.
