"A couple of deliciously thick cheeseburger buns with various toppings." - Niels
Let's get started!
- For a cheeseburger, it's important to have all your toppings ready before grilling the burgers. Therefore, start by slicing the tomato, pickle, and iceberg lettuce.
-
Grill the burger on the BBQ at a temperature of approximately 200°C. Leave the lid of the BBQ open. Let the burgers rest until they come loose from the grate, then flip them once.
-
When the core temperature reaches 55°C, add the cheddar cheese and move the hamburgers to an indirect zone. Close the lid for a few minutes to let the cheese melt.
- Time to build your burger! Start with some sauce on your toasted tiger bun and spread the lettuce and tomato over it. Place your grilled burger with cheddar on top and finish it with some pickles, fried onions, and extra sauce.
- Lid on and dig in!

Tip
When seasoning with pepper beforehand, be careful not to let the temperature get too high, as the pepper can burn and create a bitter taste. Therefore, place the burgers far enough above the coals, or season them with pepper afterward.
