View all Barbecook productsHow do you know if your fish, meat, or poultry is cooked through, or if it needs to stay on the barbecue a little longer? With a barbecue thermometer! Most barbecue recipes indicate cooking times, but because the temperature of coals is not always constant, and some pieces of fish, meat, or poultry are thinner or thicker than others, it's better not to rely blindly on these times. Barbecook offers a digital pocket thermometer, but also a thermometer linked to an application – the thermo app, especially for the digital wizards among us! With the thermo app, you can easily monitor the cooking time of your dishes from your chair. Why make it difficult when it can be easy?
How does the thermo app work?
The Barbecook thermo app was created to give barbecue enthusiasts an even more enjoyable experience. Thanks to this application, you no longer have to wait by your grill to monitor your cooking time. The thermo app does the work. So you can relax with your guests and keep an eye on the application via your phone. But how exactly does this digital marvel work? First, install the thermo app on your smartphone (suitable for iOS7 or higher and Android 4.3 or higher). It's called 'Barbecook Digital Thermo'.
Turn on the thermometer. Enable Bluetooth and location on your smartphone and find the thermometer using the search button in the application. After that, it's simple. Choose from the pre-programmed settings which dish you are preparing and how you would like it cooked. You can also adjust the preset temperatures and times yourself. The thermometer has two probes, which are called P1 and P2 in the thermo app. When using a probe, it's important to always insert it into the middle of your dish, not near a bone or a piece of fat.
Once your probes are inserted into your dish, it's advisable to close the lid. This way, you guarantee the most accurate result possible. So, use one of Barbecook's gas barbecues or a charcoal barbecue with a lid or Barbecook's dome. A nice extra feature of the thermo app is that you can post a photo of your temperature curve or your cooked dish on your social media channels or send it via email. This way, everyone stays informed of your fantastic grilling skills!
