Let's get started!
- For the perfect steak, it's best to use a frying pan with a thick bottom. Season the steak on both sides with salt and pepper. Heat the pan over high heat.
- Once the pan is hot, lower the heat slightly. Add a generous knob of butter to the steak to make it extra juicy. Is your mouth watering yet?
- Let the butter brown to a golden color, not black.
- The perfect steak is different for everyone. Do you want a rare steak? Then cook the steak over medium heat for 2 minutes per side. For medium rare, 3 minutes, and 4 minutes for medium.
- Let the steak rest in aluminum foil for about 5 minutes.
Tip
Do you want the perfect steak? Then go for a steak 2 to 3 cm thick. Making a good steak takes some practice, by the way. Make something of it and good luck!
