Let's get started!

  1. To make this burger topping, first finely chop the onions, garlic, and pineapple. Sauté them in a frying pan over high heat with some salt and pepper.
  2. Add the honey and continue to cook over medium heat until the liquid has evaporated and the compote is well combined. If necessary, add some cornstarch or potato starch to thicken the mixture.
  3. Once the compote is well combined, add the (cold) butter. Stir until it has completely melted. Season further with salt and pepper if necessary.

Tip

For extra flavor, add 50 ml of Gimber Sweet Lilly along with the honey during step two.
