Let's get started!
These Spooky Brownies are a real Halloween treat. Not only delicious to eat, but also fun to prepare with the little ghosts on an autumnal afternoon.
Here's how to make it:
- Put the unsalted butter together with the chocolate, syrup and granulated and caster sugar in a saucepan. Stir well over low heat until melted. Then let it cool down.
- Meanwhile, whisk the eggs and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Then you can add the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
- Once it has become a smooth mixture, add the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder. Mix this on a low setting to a fine mixture.
- Line the baking tin with parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly. Use a shape that fits the amount you are making.
- Place the brownie mixture in the oven for 25 minutes at 190°C.
- When you take the brownie out of the oven, let it cool down before removing it from the baking tin.
- Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate au-bain-marie.
- Cut the brownie into equal pieces and place a marshmallow on each piece. Then spoon the melted chocolate over the marshmallows and place the ghosts in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes to harden.
- Let the children draw spooky faces with the decorating pen and then it's time to feast! 🥳
