Let's get started!

These Spooky Brownies are a real Halloween treat. Not only delicious to eat, but also fun to prepare with the little ghosts on an autumnal afternoon.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put the unsalted butter together with the chocolate, syrup and granulated and caster sugar in a saucepan. Stir well over low heat until melted. Then let it cool down.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk the eggs and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Then you can add the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
  3. Once it has become a smooth mixture, add the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder. Mix this on a low setting to a fine mixture.
  4. Line the baking tin with parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly. Use a shape that fits the amount you are making.
  5. Place the brownie mixture in the oven for 25 minutes at 190°C.
  6. When you take the brownie out of the oven, let it cool down before removing it from the baking tin.
  7. Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate au-bain-marie.
  8. Cut the brownie into equal pieces and place a marshmallow on each piece. Then spoon the melted chocolate over the marshmallows and place the ghosts in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes to harden.
  9. Let the children draw spooky faces with the decorating pen and then it's time to feast! 🥳
